A day trip from Numurkah

The King and the Ovens are the closest from Numurkah. Leave early, fish a full day with John and drive home in the evening.

Because of the drive, the full day is the better choice. A half day means more time in the car than on the water.

Making a weekend of it

Make it a weekend if you can. A night in Mansfield or Myrtleford puts two or three rivers within an hour.

What's included

Every trip is a half or full day with John beside you on the water the whole time. Waders, boots, rods, reels and flies are all supplied, so there's nothing to pack but yourself. Catering is included, and dietary requirements are catered for.

Casting lessons in Benalla

Benalla is about an hour and a quarter away. A three hour casting lesson there is a good way to start without a long day of driving. More about casting lessons.

Plan your trip from Numurkah.

Tell John where you're coming from, which days suit and what you'd like to get out of the trip. He'll suggest the river and plan the day around it.
